Between 2013 and 2014, Tecnorenova installed 50 Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbines in the municipality of Ovalle to create Chile’s largest wind farm. At a wind speed of 3 m/s, the wind turbine begins operating. The maximum rotor speed is around 16 rpm at a wind speed of 3 m/s.
